Screening Process

Comprehensive Screening

Each position we post receives an average of 200 applicants. From there, we narrow the pool to just 15–20 candidates who are invited to interview. Every candidate who makes it through demonstrates more than just qualifications on paper—we look for an obvious passion for childcare and real-world experience.

We also require thorough, childcare-specific references from former employers, families, or teachers. These references must speak to the candidate’s reliability, emotional intelligence, communication, and their ability to foster safe, enriching environments for children of various ages.

Only the most dedicated childcare professionals make it through

Background Screening

All top candidates complete a full suite of background checks before placement. Our background screening includes:

  • Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) Check
  • National and County Criminal Searches
  • Sexual Offender and Predator Registry Search
  • Identity verification and SSN trace
  • Optional drug testing (upon family request)

Our rigorous process ensures that families are introduced only to safe, responsible, and thoroughly vetted caregivers.
