Your children are the top priority.

Child Centered Care

The agency ensures that nannies are trained and oriented to prioritize the interests, safety, and happiness of the children in their care. This includes understanding child development, recognizing the uniqueness of each child, and catering to their individual needs.

Family Integration

Recognizing the importance of family in a child’s life, Hunny promotes nannies who are able to seamlessly integrate into the family unit, respecting family values and working in partnership with parents for the child's best interests.

Ethical + Respectful

Our philosophy includes a strong ethical component, ensuring that nannies treat children with respect and dignity, fostering an environment of trust and care.

the Nanny Referral process

what to expect when you choose Hunny Nanny Agency

IN-DEPTH FAMILY CONSULTATION

The process begins with an in-depth consultation between the family and the agency. During this meeting, the agency gathers detailed information about the family’s lifestyle, needs, preferences, and any specific requirements they may have for a nanny. This consultation is crucial for understanding the family's dynamics and what they are looking for in a nanny, including aspects like experience, qualifications, personality traits, and any special skills (like language proficiency or experience with special needs children).

FAMILY INTERVIEWS

Based on the consultation, the agency selects suitable nanny candidates and arranges interviews with the family. These interviews are an opportunity for both the family and the nanny to assess compatibility, discuss expectations, and understand each other’s perspectives. The agency may provide guidance on interview questions and what to look for during the interview process.

WORKING TRIALS (OPTIONAL)

We want every match to be successful, which means we want everyone to take their time in making a decision. We don’t want to keep the nanny guessing, but we do want to make sure the nanny understands the position and the family. Once a potential match is found, working trials are often arranged. This involves the nanny working with the family for a short period, typically a few days to a week, to evaluate how well they fit into the family environment. This trial period allows both the nanny and the family to make an informed decision based on practical experience.

JOB OFFER

If the trial period is successful and both parties are happy to proceed, the family extends a job offer to the nanny. The agency can assist in negotiating terms, salary, and start dates.

WORK AGREEMENT

The nanny accepted… now what? Great news. The agency has a work agreement that your family will have access to upon hiring a nanny. This is a wonderful resource to go through with your nanny prior to their first day of work. This will discuss job duties, emergencies, expectations and boundaries for everyone. Completely this work agreement is taking a step towards ensuring you have a successful placement and long lived match with your nanny. Throughout her employment this should be revisited and discussed. This document outlines the terms of employment, including duties, hours, salary, benefits, vacation time, confidentiality clauses, and any other relevant details. This ensures both parties have clear expectations and legal protection.

ON-GOING SUPPORT

Even after placement, the agency provides ongoing support to both the nanny and the family. This may include regular check-ins, conflict resolution assistance, and providing resources for the nanny’s professional development. The agency acts as a mediator and support system to ensure a smooth and successful working relationship.
